Fans on Twitter reacted after Punjab Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders in the 31st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The game between the two teams took place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Tuesday (15th April).
Punjab Kings snatched victory from the jaws of defeat as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders by the margin of 16 runs. They came up with a magical effort with the ball as they made the Ajinkya Rahane-led side look clueless to defend the lowest total ever in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Punjab Kings had a poor outing with the bat as they got all out for just 111 runs. This happened after they had a great start with the bat. Priyansh Arya (22) and Prabhsimran Singh (30) looked in good form as they added 39 runs for the opening stand.
But, after that, Punjab Kings had a collapse. Harshit Rana oozed his class with the ball as he removed the top three. After that, spin was introduced, and that made batters struggle. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine picked two wickets each to put pressure on the opposition.
No Punjab Kings batter apart from openers could go past the 20-run mark as Kolkata Knight Riders ended their innings on just 111 inside 16 overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders lost both the openers in Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine early. But skipper, Ajinkya Rahane (17) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (37) steadied the ship with their 55-run stand and it seemed that it would be an easy win for the defending champions.
But Yuzvendra Chahal turned the game on his head as he picked four wickets in his spell that saw Kolkata Knight Riders tottering at 79 for eight. Andre Russell (17) hit a few blows to bring his team back but he couldn’t take his side home as Punjab Kings bundled out Kolkata for 95 to win the game by 16 runs.
