Mumbai Indians Women Playing 11 vs Gujarat Giants Women- Eliminator, WPL 2025

Mumbai Indians will be looking to qualify for their second final when they face Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator of the ongoing Women’s Premier League 2025 (WPL 2025). The game is scheduled to be played on Thursday (March 13) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

For the third season in a row, MI have finished at the second spot in the points table. The inaugural WPL winners won five of their eight games and missed out on a place in the final only because of net run-rate.

MI started their season on a strong note. Although they lost their opening game of the tournament against Delhi Capitals, they won their next three games to show their title credentials.

They registered two more wins from their last four games to book a place in the top three. Mumbai Indians now have the opportunity to become the first-ever team to win the WPL twice.

They will be fancying their chances of beating Gujarat Giants and qualifying for the final. And ahead of the game, we are taking a look at the Mumbai Indians Playing 11.

Mumbai Indians Women Playing 11 vs Gujarat Giants Women- Eliminator, WPL 2025:

Openers: Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr

Hayley Matthews and Amelia Kerr are set to be the openers in the MI Playing 11 for the Eliminator against Gujarat Giants. The onus will be on them to give their team a good start with the bat as the inaugural WPL winners eye a place in the final.

Middle-order batters and allrounders: Nat Sciver-Brunt, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Amanjot Kaur, Yastika Bhatia (wk), Sajeevan Sajana, G Kamalini

In-form Nat Sciver-Brunt will be leading the charge with the bat for MI. The England star is in stunning form in the ongoing competition and is currently the highest run-scorer of WPL 2025. In 8 games, she has scored 416 runs and will be eyeing another productive outing with the bat.

Sciver-Brunt has taken 8 wickets as well and will be looking to contribute with the ball as well. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be looking to lead the team from the front. Harmanpreet has scored 200 runs in the tournament.

The likes of Amanjot Kaur and Yastika Bhatia will be eyeing a better performance after failing to do well in the last game. Kaur could score only 17 runs while Bhatia was out for 4. Sanjeevan Sajana played a handy knock of 23 runs and will look to deliver with the bat again while G Kamalini was out for just 6 but is expected to retain her spot in the Mumbai Indians Playing 11.

Bowlers: , Sanskriti Gupta, Shabnim Ismail, Parunika Sisodia

Mumbai Indians are likely to play the Eliminator with the same bowling combination that played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru earlier this week. The Mumbai Indians Playing 11 is likely to have one frontline pacer and two spinners.

Shabnim Ismail is set to lead the pace attack in the Mumbai Indians Playing 11. Ismail will look to bounce back after failing to impress with the ball in the last game. She conceded 41 runs in her 4 overs and failed to take any wicket.

On the other hand, Parunika Sisodia and Sanskriti Gupta are set to be the two spinners. They could not impress with the ball either in the last game against RCB and will look to do well against Gujarat Giants.
