The 23-year-old Mumbai Indians (MI) debutant pacer Ashwani Kumar decimated the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with his exceptional spell in the 12th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Monday, March 31.
The daughter of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, was absolutely dejected seeing Ashwani Kumar destroying the KKR batting line-up and her heartbreaking reactions were caught on camera.

Ashwani Kumar creates history with a 4-wicket haul on debut
The left-arm pacer was introduced in the attack in the 3rd over and on the very first ball, he picked the big wicket of KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane.
With this, he became the fourth Mumbai Indians bowler after Ali Murtaza, Alzarri Joseph, and Dewald Brevis to pick a wicket on the first ball on his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians.
He wasn’t done there as he dismissed Rinku Singh and Manish Pandey in the 11th over before destroying the stumps of Andre Russell in the 13th over.
Overall, he finished with figures of 4/24 in his 3 overs, which was the fourth-best bowling figures in an IPL debut match by a bowler. Notably, he became the first Indian to get a four-wicket haul in his IPL debut match.
Ashwani Kumar destroying KKR batters gave joy to Mumbai Indians and their fans; at the same time, it gave a tough time to the Kolkata Knight Riders fans.
One of the die-hard fans of KKR, Bollywood actress and model Suhana Khan, who was watching the match from the stadium, was left heartbroken, and her reactions quickly went viral on social media.
Suhana Khan was dejected throughout the KKR batting innings but her disappointment reached its peak when Rinku Singh and Andre Russell got out as she was seen hiding her face with her hands and was seemingly in tears.

Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar also shine for Mumbai Indians
Pacer Trent Boult picked up one wicket for 23 runs in his 4 overs while Deepak Chahar bagged two wickets for 19 runs in 2 overs to bowl out KKR for 116 in 20 overs.
Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the MI vs KKR match, Ian Bishop said that Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar needed to provide MI with good starts with the ball. He said:
“The ball hasn’t swung as much, I think, as either of them would have hoped. And this white ball swings so very little sometimes. Trent Boult has to bowl the first over because of his record in the first over. And Deepak Chahar then has to come in and he wants the ball to swing. It’s not the only thing he does, but he wants it to swing and that hasn’t happened just yet. So, Jasprit Bumrah cannot come back quickly enough for the Mumbai Indians.
“I’m hoping so because, look, we’ve talked a lot about how the game has drifted a little bit in favour of batting. And Trent Boult is too good a bowler. If there’s a semblance of swinging and he understands the conditions at Wankhede, I expect him to become a threat as the season goes on. And once Chahar can stay fit, he will have an impact at some point during the season as well. I can’t wait for the ball to start swinging.”
